The Sun and the North Wind chess set

Aesop's fable is the inspiration for this quirky chess set. The dark purple and greys of the cold North Wind pitched against the bright white and yellows, and parched lands of the Sun.

Each piece sits pleasantly in the hand, but each pawn is slightly different because I wanted each one to be recognisable. This is also true of the knights, bishops, rooks. I had fun with the wild beard of the North Wind (based on Herodotus) and the sober hair of the Sun king (Socrates).
