The tile is a blend of 50% porcelain and 50% bone china.  Unglazed, the bone china gives the tile a soft lustre.  £80 unframed (£140 framed).

The rust red terracotta clay has been darkened by a 1260 C firing.  The mould was brushed with coloured slips before the terracotta was cast.  A tin oxide was applied before glaze firing. £150 unframed (£230 framed)
